OVERVIEW
ACOEM represents more than 5,000 physicians and other health care professionals specializing in the field of occupational and environmental medicine (OEM). The vision for the new web site designed by Orgsource and built by ServerSide, Inc. was to bring a high level of functionality and useful tools for the membership.
Personalized Portal Page
Personal Portal pages are provided so that members can create a customized view of web page when they visit the site. It can include events, people or general content that would apply to them. Users can drag-and-drop these control frames into template-style "drop zones" to personalize their website experience. This site has discussion forums now and implementation of the community features of CMS400 is currently being planned.
Structured Content
ServerSide, Inc. uses CMS400 Smart Form technology to build structured content areas where web content items are entered once and can be displayed in any number of places and contexts on the site. Structured content areas include conference information, Find A Dr., Calendar of Events, Find Jobs, Component map and Medical news.
System Integration: Unified Login
ServerSide, Inc. provided the necessary systems integration expertise and programming to give ACOEM a unified login with their CRM system from their web site.
